Research and development on the advanced visual content for the mobile-phone

Dr. Masahiro Wada successfully developed a new video coding control and transmission scheme which enables low latency and high quality real-time video transmission via non-stable mobile IP networks. He also developed a new video clip authoring/distribution technologies using H.264 and HE-AAC media coding, which have greatly contributed to the development of advanced visual content for the mobile-phone. The Institute of Image Information and Television Engineers gave Dr. Masahiro Wada the Niwa-Takayanagi Achievement Award for this study and development in 2008.
