  Separate luminance color camera was developed to improve resolution, SN ratio and high lights characteristics. As for color signals, R, G, B dot sequential signal is obtained from a pickup tube. Two Imageorthicon Separate Luminance Color Television Cameras were produced and live luminance signal of the camera was transmitted from Japan to U. S. A. via Syncom3 in Tokyo Olympic.
